DDEPRESSION AND THERAPY

Short-term therapy for depressed individuals can be highly effective and typically focuses on immediate issues, developing coping strategies, and symptom relief. Some common approaches include:

1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is often used in short-term therapy, usually lasting 8-12 sessions. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced thoughts.

2. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): This is a goal-directed, future-focused therapy. It emphasizes finding solutions to specific problems and encourages individuals to envision and work towards a desired outcome. Sessions are often limited, around 5-10.

3. Interpersonal Therapy is another short-term therapy, usually lasting 12-16 sessions. It focuses on improving communication skills and addressing relationship issues that may be contributing to the individual's depression.

4. Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Mindfulness techniques help people become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without judgment. This approach can be integrated into short therapy to help individuals cope with depression in a more present-focused way.

5.  Prayers, As we all know prayer is the to all problem

These therapies focus on immediate improvement and aim to equip the individual with practical tools to manage their depression.
